E.ON colleagues celebrate inclusion at Notts Pride

Colleagues took to the streets of Nottingham for this year’s Notts Pride, marching alongside thousands of people to celebrate diversity, equality and inclusion across the city, showing support for allies and demonstrating the company’s ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where people can be themselves.

The event brought together colleagues from across E.ON to show support for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies, with the team proudly carrying flags and celebrating the message that everyone should feel able to bring their authentic selves to work.

As one of Nottingham’s largest employers, E.ON has deep roots in the city and surrounding communities. The company’s presence in Nottingham spans decades, with many colleagues living and working locally and playing an important role in powering the UK’s energy transition.

Notts Pride provided an opportunity for colleagues to come together beyond the workplace and demonstrate the commitment to building a culture where people feel valued, respected and included.

Brandon Loveday, Energy Specialist and Pride Project Manager, said: “We showed up for Notts Pride, and the day was everything we hoped for and more. Huge thank-you to everyone who joined us for the march or cheered from the side-lines and made the day so special!

“We marched, sang and cheered our way through Nottingham, celebrating everyone being their true selves. The aim is to be loud and proud every day, which recently has become even more important.”

E.ON’s Pride network is one of nine colleague-led inclusion networks, bringing together LGBTQIA+ colleagues and allies to help create a workplace where everyone feels they belong. The network plays an important role in raising awareness, creating opportunities for connection and supporting colleagues across the business.

Becky Emmett, Senior Learning Specialist and Pride Project Manager, said: “It was a brilliant day, we really did all show up loud and proud. It was amazing to see such an incredible turnout of colleagues from across the whole business, celebrating themselves and others.”

The celebration comes as E.ON continues to strengthen its focus on inclusion through its ambition to be a workplace where people can thrive. The company’s latest Inclusion Report, Powering Belonging, highlights the progress made through colleague networks, leadership commitments and initiatives designed to create a more inclusive environment.

E.ON was also recently recognised as one of the UK’s best employers, being named in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026. The recognition reflects the role that culture, belonging and colleague experience play in making E.ON a great place to work.
