E.ON celebrates Birmingham Pride partnership and commitment to inclusion

E.ON was proud to be a Pride Partner of this year’s Birmingham Pride, joining colleagues, customers and communities across a weekend of celebration, visibility and inclusion.

As one of the UK’s largest Pride events, Birmingham Pride brought together thousands of people to champion LGBTQ+ equality and celebrate diversity, which are values that are deeply embedded across E.ON and E.ON Next.

Throughout the weekend, colleagues from across the business took part in the celebrations, showing support for the LGBTQ+ community and reinforcing E.ON’s commitment to creating an environment where everyone feels able to be themselves.

The partnership reflected E.ON’s ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and people-first workplace culture. In May 2026, E.ON was recognised as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work — the latest in a series of long-standing recognitions for the company’s commitment to diversity, inclusion and colleague wellbeing.

E.ON has also been named in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List for ten consecutive years, achieving a Top 10 ranking in 2025. Based entirely on colleague feedback, the recognition reflects E.ON’s continued focus on building an inclusive, forward-thinking and purpose-led workplace where people feel supported to grow their careers, be themselves and make a meaningful difference every day.

Becky Emmett, Senior Learning Specialist at E.ON Next, said: “Birmingham Pride was such an incredible weekend and we were so proud to be a Pride Partner this year.

“It was a great success! This year we had a walking banner, more flags and loads more merch, which meant we were definitely louder and more visible throughout the parade. We also upgraded our speaker system and having microphones created some brilliant crowd interaction along the route. We really brought our theme of being loud and proud to life!

“What made the weekend so special was seeing colleagues come together, support each other and celebrate being completely themselves. That’s something that really matters at E.ON.

“It’s our people who are making the energy transition happen every day, and having a workplace where different perspectives, experiences and identities are welcomed makes us stronger as a business and better for our customers and communities.”
