E.ON UK to become a Royal Life Saving Society UK-approved Training Centre for First Aid at Work
E.ON has partnered with the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) to offer courses in first aid through its Net Zero Training Academy.
Through the new partnership with RLSS UK, E.ON will become an ‘Approved Training Centre for First Aid at Work’, meaning it will be accredited to deliver the one‑day Emergency First Aid at Work and three‑day First Aid at Work courses.
RLSS UK’s First Aid at Work courses are the most comprehensive workplace first aid qualification available, covering a full range of CPR & first aid skills through practical training and theory.
E.ON will start delivering the courses from February.
Phil Gilbert, Director of Net Zero Delivery at E.ON UK, said: “Our new partnership with RLSS UK allows us to go even further with our commitment to ensuring everyone goes home safe and well. It means we can train our colleagues and our delivery partners so that they are qualified and equipped with essential first aid skills.
“Green skills are key to the energy transition – but they must always go hand in hand with safety. This is why we have strengthened our Net Zero Academy, which is now an Approved Training Centre for First Aid.”
Jo Talbot, Commercial Director at RLSS UK, said: "We are excited that E.ON has decided to partner with RLSS UK as an Approved Training Centre and train its staff with our first aid qualifications."
"It is fantastic to know that such a forward-thinking and impactful company is committed to training their staff and the wider community in our industry-leading qualifications. We look forward to collaborating with them closely so that they get the very best out of our qualifications and ATC scheme."
The Net Zero Training Academy, based in the West Midlands, was formed in 2017 and is EON’s flagship UK training hub, where engineers - both E.ON colleagues and external technicians - learn to make homes cleaner, greener and more affordable to run.
From smart meters, to electric vehicle (EV) chargers, solar panels and battery storage and air source heat pumps, the Academy covers courses accredited by LCL, BPEC, City & Guilds & EU Skills.
