E.ON UK supports Government plans to expand the training scheme to help oil and gas workers into new energy roles

Responding to Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) plans to support more than a thousand oil and gas workers to retrain as part of the clean energy transitionHelen Bradbury, Chief People Officer at E.ON UK, said:

"We welcome this investment in helping oil and gas workers build on their valuable skills and experience as the UK's energy system continues to evolve. The energy transition presents a significant opportunity to create highly respected jobs across clean energy, infrastructure and pushing forward customer-focused solutions.

"Many of the capabilities developed in the North Sea are directly transferable to the roles needed to deliver a cleaner, more secure energy future. By providing specialised training, this programme can help workers access new opportunities while ensuring the energy sector retains the expertise it needs.
