E.ON UK champions fertility support at launch of new workplace guide
Rachel Guest, Senior Delivery Lead at E.ON UK, joined a panel on fertility in the workplace at the launch of From Babies with Love’s 2026 Guide: Cutting Edge Family Friendly Policy & Practice.
E.ON continues to strengthen its commitment to building an inclusive and supportive workplace, with Rachel Guest, Senior Delivery Lead, taking part in her first panel discussion focused on fertility in the workplace.
Rachel joined industry leaders at the launch From Babies with Love’s 2026 Guide: Cutting Edge Family Friendly Policy & Practice, contributing to a panel exploring the latest approaches to fertility support at work.
Speaking after the event, Rachel said: “I was really proud to speak on behalf of E.ON UK and share some of the work we’ve been doing to support colleagues on their fertility journeys. Being able to combine my personal experience with the work we’re doing as an organisation made this moment particularly meaningful for me as both of my children were born through IVF.”
The panel formed part of the launch of the new guide, which highlights five key themes shaping family-friendly workplaces today, including fertility and neonatal support, pregnancy and baby loss, and inclusive parental leave.
The discussion underscored the growing importance of fertility support in the workplace. Data shared during the session revealed that 1 in 6 people experience challenges building a family, with many taking unacknowledged sick leave during treatment. At the same time, 73% of employees say they are more likely to join organisations with fertility policies, and 72% would stay longer with employers who provide this support.*
These insights reflect an ongoing commitment to putting our colleagues first. The company has been actively developing policies and support networks designed to meet the real needs of employees, including:
- Fertility-focused workplace policies shaped by lived experience
- Education for managers to better understand the realities of fertility journeys
- Fertility Forum colleague network that provides peer support and community
- A culture that encourages openness and reduces stigma
Rachel’s involvement in the panel also highlights the importance of visible leadership in driving cultural change. By sharing personal experiences, colleagues and leaders help normalise conversations around fertility, creating a more supportive and understanding environment for everyone.
From Babies with Love’s guide brings together practical insights and real-world examples from organisations leading the way in this space. Notably, it includes a feature on E.ON UK’s journey as Fertility Friendly Employer of the Year 2025, demonstrating how meaningful change can be achieved through a combination of policy, culture and leadership. E.ON also recently campaigned for fairer fertility rights at work by signing the Fertility Support Pledge.
As E.ON continues to evolve its approach, the focus remains clear: supporting colleagues through every stage of life. By fostering an inclusive workplace where people feel seen, supported and valued, the organisation is not only improving employee wellbeing, but also strengthening engagement, retention and performance.
Looking ahead, E.ON will continue to build on this momentum, ensuring that all colleagues, whatever their family journey, have the support they need to thrive.
