PRICE ALERT: E.ON Next cuts price of two 24-month tariffs, offering energy price certainty until 2028
- Customers can lock in their energy prices until autumn 2028 with the Next Fixed 24-month tariff and Next Smart Saver 24m, offering fixed off-peak and super off-peak rates.
- They are the cheapest* 24-month deals currently available from a major supplier.
- Next Smart Saver 24m offers a £61 saving and Next Fixed 24m offers a £34 saving against the current energy price cap of £1,723.
Tariff detail:
E.ON Next Fixed 24m v72 is now priced at £1,689 (previously £1,695) for a typical household using gas and electricity, with a £100 per fuel exit fee.
E.ON Next Smart Saver 24m v7 is now priced at £1,662 (previously £1,725), with a £100 per fuel exit fee.
E.ON Next Smart Saver 24m offers a £61 saving and Next Fixed 24m offers a £34 saving against the new energy price cap, which is set at £1,723 for a typical household between 1 October and 31 December 2026.

“By reducing the price of our 24-month tariffs, we’re giving customers the option to secure their unit rates until autumn 2028 on two of the cheapest 24-month tariffs currently available from a major supplier. Next Smart Saver also gives households the flexibility to access cheaper electricity outside peak hours by shifting when they use energy.”

Next Smart Saver is a time of use tariff designed to help customers take greater control of their energy use by rewarding those who can shift some electricity consumption away from peak periods. While these tariffs are often associated with technologies such as EV chargers, heat pumps and home batteries, customers can still benefit from Next Smart Saver simply by making simple changes, such as running washing machines and dishwashers during cheaper off-peak periods.
