npower Business Solutions: proudly supporting Solihull Pride
npower Business Solutions (nBS) colleagues were proud to support an event full of colour, joy and celebration in the heart of Solihull.
We’re committed to positively impacting the communities we serve, and as a company that is dedicated to diversity and inclusion, what better way to show support than by getting involved with Solihull’s first ever Pride event.
At E.ON, we’re leading a purpose-led transformation to a new energy world which is cleaner, more affordable and fairer for all, and inclusion is a key element to the success of our mission. That’s why we support Pride events – to show our support to the LGBT+ community and to demonstrate our commitment to a new, more equitable energy world.
With deep roots as a major employer in the town, nBS’s support of Solihull Pride, organised by Solihull Business Improvement District (Solihull BID), reflects its ongoing commitment to building both workplace and community environments where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered.
Anthony Ainsworth, Chief Operating Officer COO at nBS, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have supported Solihull’s first ever Pride event. At nBS, and indeed across E.ON as whole, inclusion is at the core of who we are – not only in how we work together as colleagues, but in how we connect with our customers and our communities. Being part of this celebration is a powerful reminder that progress is built on unity, respect, and the freedom to be yourself. Thank you to everyone who took part in making this event such a huge success."
From start to finish, the day was filled with a powerful sense of unity and solidarity across the whole community. Tributes to LGBTQIA+ icons such as Elton John, Madonna, and Cher added to the celebrations, reinforcing a shared sense of identity and pride.
E.ON’s wider support for Pride
In addition to Solihull, over recent years, E.ON has also supported Pride events in our home regions of Birmingham and Nottingham, alongside other events spread across Europe. And our colleague-led and multi-award-winning Pride network supports LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies and was recently recognised at the British Diversity Awards for its impact and authenticity.
We’ve recently been named one of the UK’s Best Places to Work by The Sunday Times and have been one of the Inclusive Top 50 Employers for nine years in a row. Our support for Pride symbolises not only our commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive workplace for our colleagues, but also our belief that the success of the energy transition depends on openness, visibility, and the strength of the communities we serve.
