E.ON wins Wellbeing Team of the Year at The Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards
E.ON UK’s Safe & Well Team has been named Wellbeing Team of the Year (Large Company), recognising a people-powered approach that brings together safety, health and care to support colleagues and drive the energy transition.
We’re delighted to announce that E.ON UK’s Safe & Well Team has been named Wellbeing Team of the Year (Large Company) at the Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards — a recognition that underscores the vital role our people play in powering the energy transition.
This award recognises the collective effort behind our wellbeing approach, shaped by colleagues across the business and brought to life by our Wellbeing Warriors and Squad Leads. Their passion, dedication and care for others make a meaningful difference every day.
The award celebrates organisations making a real difference to the health, safety, and wellbeing of their workforce and reflects a simple but fundamental belief: everyone deserves to go home safe and well, every day.
A holistic approach to wellbeing
At the core of the Safe & Well Team’s work is a joined-up approach to care. By integrating Safety, Occupational Health, Wellbeing, Employee Relations, and organisational policies, the team creates a supportive ecosystem where colleagues feel safe, healthy, respected, and empowered to do their best.
Charlotte Lack, Head of Safe & Well at E.ON UK, said: “This award is a reflection of the passion, commitment, and care our colleagues show every day — particularly our Wellbeing Warriors and Squad Leads who go above and beyond to support others. When people feel supported and safe at work, they are empowered to innovate, collaborate, and drive the energy transition forward. It really is our people who make it possible.”
Empowering colleagues through connection
E.ON’s Wellbeing Warrior Transformation programme has established a strong, visible network of 326 active Wellbeing Warriors across E.ON UK, supported by dedicated Squad Leads who help coordinate and strengthen this community. Together, they create a powerful peer-to-peer support network embedded across the organisation.
These colleagues provide one-to-one support, guidance, and access to internal and external wellbeing resources, helping make care more accessible, local, and human while ensuring that support is always close to where it’s needed most.
Meanwhile, 37% of colleagues have completed a health assessment through the Champion Health initiative, giving them greater insight into their own wellbeing and empowering proactive steps to look after themselves.
Safety and wellbeing linked through Vision 0
The Safe & Well team also strengthens the connection between wellbeing and workplace safety through our Vision 0 strategy. By promoting prevention, raising awareness, and making proactive safety measures more accessible, Vision 0 safeguards both physical and mental health across the business, ensuring our workforce can focus on delivering a clean, secure energy future.
Creating moments that matter
This year, the team hosted our first Safe & Well Conference, bringing Wellbeing Warriors and Squad Leads together for learning, networking, and celebration — further strengthening this passionate community
They also launched the Safe & Well Awards, recognising colleagues nominated by their peers for outstanding contributions to keeping others safe and well, many of whom are part of this growing wellbeing network.
The team continues to collaborate closely with our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion networks, ensuring that wellbeing initiatives are inclusive, representative, and reflective of the experiences of colleagues across the UK.
Driven by a shared purpose
Every member of the Safe & Well team, alongside our Wellbeing Warriors and Squad Leads, is motivated by a genuine passion to make a difference, creating a culture where care, prevention, and respect are part of everyday working life.
Winning Wellbeing Team of the Year is a proud moment for E.ON UK, but it is above all a recognition of the collective effort of our wellbeing community. It shows what’s possible when colleagues come together with a shared purpose: supporting one another to be at their best and enabling the wider business to deliver the energy transition.
Together, we’re making sure everyone goes home safe and well, every day, while powering a greener tomorrow.
