E.ON UK responds to Ofgem's plans to introduce lower standing charge tariffs
E.ON UK has responded to Ofgem's plans to introduce lower standing charge tariffs, calling on the regulator to avoid a short-term solution.
Chris Norbury, Chief Executive at E.ON UK, said: “We will respond to the consultation and would encourage Ofgem to avoid the temptation to create a short-term solution that risks causing unforeseen detriment to customers. The ideal outcome would be no standing charges but to achieve this it is really important to understand what makes up these system costs and then decide how best to allocate or collect them.”
