E.ON UK responds to Budget 2025

Responding to the Government's Budget 2025, Chris Norbury, CEO of E.ON UK, said:

“Today’s Budget takes welcome steps to ease pressure on household bills by reducing non-energy costs and increasing funding for the Warm Homes Plan. These measures will help to make energy more affordable, while supporting the shift to low-carbon homes and a smarter, cleaner and more flexible energy system.

“Energy-efficient homes, combined with solutions that give customers flexibility in when and how they use energy, are the most effective way to bring bills down sustainably and reduce system costs.

“To achieve this, we need clarity on the cessation of the ECO scheme and how Warm Homes Plan funding will be deployed to minimise disruption to the supply chain and ensure as many households as possible benefit quickly.

“We will continue to work with policymakers and industry partners to shape these plans so they deliver lower bills, warmer homes, skilled jobs, and a resilient energy system that works for everyone.”
