E.ON UK Launches Inaugural Women in Sport Survey at Wembley Stadium Event

E.ON UK has officially launched its inaugural Women in Sport Survey, Powering Performance, at a dedicated event held at Wembley Stadium on 20 November, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to promoting inclusivity in sport.

Aimed at understanding the barriers women and girls face both participating and progressing in sport, the Powering Performance survey will collect insights across all levels, from grassroots to elite competition, with results expected to be published in early 2026.

To celebrate the launch, E.ON hosted an engaging panel discussion featuring influential figures from across the sporting landscape. Speakers included:

  • Judy Murray OBE, Tennis Coach and Founder of Miss-Hits
  • Chelsea Pitman, Head Coach, Nottingham Forest Netball
  • Eni Aluko MBE, Former England Footballer and Sports Broadcaster
  • Em Clarkson, TV Presenter, Journalist and Podcaster
  • Denis Betts, Head Coach, Wigan Warriors Women’s Team
  • Natasha Bird, Moderator – Lifestyle Journalist & Female Automotive Consultant

The event gathered over 150 voices from sport, media, and business to discuss the challenges and opportunities for greater inclusivity in sport, sharing experiences and ideas to foster meaningful change.

Guests also had the opportunity to engage with interactive displays from E.ON UK’s sporting partners and internal initiatives, each highlighting the energy company’s broader commitment to equality, empowerment, and community impact.

Scott Somerville, Director of External Affairs at E.ON UK, said: “It’s our responsibility to help drive progress, not just by talking about what could be done but through leading by example.

“The Powering Performance Survey is an important step towards understanding the barriers women face and identifying where we, as a business and as a community, can act. Our goal is to help make all communities more open and accessible for everyone.”

The Women in Sport initiative forms part of E.ON UK’s broader mission to champion equality and empowerment through energy, helping communities reach their full potential both on and off the field.

The survey is open in the UK to participants over the age of 16 and can be completed here.
