E.ON Next is lighting up the holidays with a special festive offer: three days of free electricity for customers from Wednesday 24 to Friday 26 December 2025.

New and existing customers who sign up to the Next Direct 18m v1 tariff before 12 December 2025 will receive three days of free electricity, credited based on their actual electricity use, including standing charges, on the 24, 25 and 26 of December 2025.

Customers who choose Next Direct 18m v1 will not only unwrap free electricity this festive season but can fix their energy prices for two full winters with the cheapest 18m product currently on the market*, giving them peace of mind during the colder months.

Julian Lennertz, Chief Commercial Officer at E.ON Next, said: “The festive season is a time for togetherness, warmth and celebration. Whether you’re hosting loved ones, cooking up a feast, or simply enjoying happy moments at home, your electricity is on us with Next Direct 18m.

“With our holiday gift of three days of free electricity, we want to help our customers enjoy what matters most — without worrying about the cost.”

Next Direct 18m v1 is priced at £1,600 for a typical household using gas and electricity, with a £50 per fuel exit fee. The tariff offers savings of £158 against the new energy price cap, which will be £1,758 for a typical household between 1 January and 31 March 2026.

To be eligible, customers must have a working smart meter and be opted in for half hourly consumption data. T&Cs apply.

Festive energy saving tips

E.ON Next is sharing tips for customers looking to reduce their energy bills without compromising on the festive fun.

  • Customers can unwrap three days of free electricity by switching to Next Direct 18m by 12 December 2025.
  • Put Christmas lights on a timer or use a smart plug. Avoid leaving your lights on all night and set them to switch off automatically when everyone’s asleep.
  • Switch screens for board games or festive activities. Reducing TV and device time saves electricity and is great for family bonding.
  • Lower your thermostat slightly. Even a small drop by 1oC can cut heating costs, while cosy jumpers keep the festive spirit alive.
  • Keep lids on pans when cooking those sprouts: lids speed up cooking and cut down on wasted energy.
