PRICE ALERT: E.ON Next cuts the price of Next Steady to support demand for shorter-term fixed certainty

  • E.ON Next has cut the price of its Next Steady tariff to £1,630, previously £1,649
  • The UK’s first hybrid tariff is now offered as a 12‑month fixed tariff, designed for households seeking shorter‑term certainty.

Tariff detail:

E.ON Next has cut the price of its hybrid tariff, Next Steady 12m (v3), helping households lock in price certainty over the year ahead at a time of continued energy market volatility.

Next Steady is the UK’s first hybrid tariff, designed to combine the benefits of near‑term pricing below the Price Cap with the reassurance of fixed rates that offer protection from future price changes. The tariff is aimed at customers looking for a shorter‑term fixed deal that balances value and stability.

Next Steady enables customers to benefit from lower gas unit rates during the initial April–June period, before moving onto fixed gas rates for the remainder of the contract. Electricity unit rates and standing charges are fixed for the full length of the tariff, supporting customers to plan and budget with confidence.

Priced at £1,630 for a typical dual fuel household, Next Steady has no internal exit fees so customers can switch to another E.ON Next tariff if prices fall or if it feels like the right choice.
