NOTTINGHAM FOREST WOMEN LIFT NATIONAL LEAGUE CUP

Powering the Reds - E.ON continues partnership with Nottingham Forest for 2025/’26 season

From solar-powered fan zones to community support, E.ON and Nottingham Forest are continuing the drive for sustainability, energy innovation and fan-first experiences that go way beyond a brand tie-in

The City Ground isn’t just echoing with chants and cheers – it’s humming with renewable energy, sustainable ambition and a deep-rooted partnership that’s anchored in the sustainable future of a community.

We’re delighted to announce our continued partnership with Nottingham Forest Football Club for the 2025/’26 season.

The collaboration is a shared journey that’s not only energising fans and fuelling sustainability, but is bringing real change to the heart of the Nottingham community and beyond.

For us at E.ON, this partnership has always been rooted in community and sustainability.

With over 4,000 colleagues living and working in Nottinghamshire, Nottingham, Forest isn’t just a club we support – it’s become a neighbour, a symbol of local pride and a platform for progress.

Together, we’re proving that when energy meets purpose, everyone wins.

Reds, renewables and real impact

Since becoming Nottingham Forest’s official sustainability partner in 2021, E.ON has worked side-by-side with the club to turn bold ideas into real-world action.

From launching a climate-positive Fan Zone powered by solar panels to backing the Club’s commitment to the UN Sports for Climate Action Framework, we’ve championed change every step of the way.

This continuing partnership sees our E.ON Next logo featured across brand-new adidas training wear for the Men’s, Women’s and Netball teams – with a special spotlight on the Women’s first team, where we proudly take our place front and centre.

But more importantly, it represents our ongoing commitment to powering a brighter, cleaner future for all.

Small steps. Big difference

Together with Forest, we’re not just supporting the club – we’re helping fans make a difference too.

In October 2023, we turned everyday movement into climate action with the Treekly app: resulting in 504 million steps walked, 37,170 mangrove trees planted in Kenya and 9,600 tonnes of carbon offset.

For every 5,000 steps walked by Forest’s men’s and women’s teams, another tree was planted.

It’s proof small steps and quite literally building from the ground and grassroots up has the power to add up to something very big.

The fan zone that gives back

Launched at Forest’s clash with Everton last December, our energy-generating Fan Zone has become a must-visit for matchday magic.

Powered by solar panels and battery storage, it produces more electricity than it consumes – saving around 2,472 kg of CO2 each year.

And with repurposed containers, reusable cups, and biodiversity planting, it’s not just about energy – it’s about ethics, environment, and experience.

Netball: a new chapter continues

And then there was netball.

In their debut season, Nottingham Forest Netball made waves in the Super League.

Led by Commonwealth champion Chelsea Pitman, the team didn’t just enter the league – they shook it.

A commanding 70–54 win over Cardiff Dragons gave a taste of what’s to come.

We also beat two-time champions Loughborough Lightning on home turf, as well as London Pulse who went on to become league champions.

It’s early days, but the signal is strong: Forest Netball are here to stay.

In a sport increasingly in the national spotlight, Forest have arrived with energy, ambition and a clear sense of identity.

More than a badge: a shared vision

This isn’t just about logos on shirts or clean energy stats.

It’s about a shared mission.

From waste reduction and ethical catering to matchday transport rewards and water-saving measures, every element of our Forest partnership is designed to drive change that goes beyond football.

As Paul Bell, Nottingham Forest’s Chief Business Officer, puts it: “We’re excited to continue building a more sustainable Nottingham Forest that positively impacts our supporters and our wider community.”

And as Scott Somerville, E.ON’s Director of External Affairs, says: “Together, we’re proving that new energy can work for everyone – on the pitch, in the stands and across the community.”

So here’s to another season of greener goals, louder roars, and sustainable strides as E.ON and Nottingham Forest continue charging ahead, together.
